  • Is counseling right for me?

According to the American Counseling Association, “Counseling is a professional relationship that empowers diverse individuals, families and groups to accomplish mental health, wellness, education and career goals.”

  • Can I still get counseling if I do not meet criteria for a mental health diagnosis?

    Even without a mental health diagnosis, many people find it helpful to receive therapy to process a stressful event or time in life, work on improving relationships, or have a non-biased person to talk to that will uphold confidentiality.

  • Do you take insurance?

    I currently accept Aetna, Cigna and Evernorth, Optum, Oscar Health, Oxford, and United Healthcare UHC | UBH.

  • What payment methods are accepted?

    All major credit and debit cards are accepted.

  • Do you charge for the initial consultation?

    No, you will receive a free 15 minute consultation where we will determine if we are a good fit.

  • How much does therapy with you cost?

    Private Pay counseling session 50 minutes: $160.00 

    For clients who will use insurance, you will need to check with you insurance company to determine costs (co-pays, deductibles, etc.)

  • What if I am in a crisis situation?

    According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), a mental health crisis is “any situation in which a person’s behavior puts them at risk of hurting themselves or others and/or prevents them from being able to care for themselves or function effectively in the community”. Vibrant Counseling and Consulting LLC does not have the capacity to provide crisis care or 24-hour on-call care; in the event of a crisis, you should contact Crisis Services (call or text 988) or go to the nearest Emergency Room. In the event of a life-threatening emergency, please DO NOT leave the therapist a voicemail message or send a text or email. Call 911 or go to the nearest Emergency Room.

  • How long should I be in therapy?

    Therapy duration is unique for each person due to differing factors such as complexity of issues and personal preference. Some people will benefit greatly from short term therapy which can last for about 3-4 sessions while others will benefit more from longer term therapy, for example, 3-6 months or 6-12 months.
